How it works

• Upon contact with blood, ActTel gauze converts to a glucose gel which expands to fill open blood vessels and control bleeding.
• Apply ActTel gauze over the entire bleeding surface and apply slight direct pressure until gauze is saturated.
• Place additional layers as needed if bleeding persists
• Place a clean dressing over the gauze to protect wound from bacteria or other infections.
• Apply water, hydrogen peroxide, sterile water or saline and gently wipe to remove excess ActTel gauze material away from the wound.

ActTel is made of regenerated cellulose and is water soluble.
